Trust yourself

Full hypnosis download Trust yourself

Self doubt can make us lose faith in ourselves at the very point when we need to do the opposite. When I give a public talk, I have to trust myself to know what to say – who wants to listen to a guy reading from notes? A trained ski jumper, once they have done all the preparation, has to trust themselves that, faster than the speed of thought, they’ll just know how to make all the hundreds of instant tiny and large adjustments they need to land safely. Facing a super-fast serve, the tennis pro has to trust that they will be able to return the serve almost without seeing it. When you’ve been injured you need to trust your body to heal for you.

We all need to trust ourselves. There is a part of us that, in a way, knows more about us than we do. Your unconscious mind is the part that knows how to produce an immune response, or how to enact a previously learnt skill (such as driving a car or playing a musical instrument) without you having to think about it too much. Having self confidence is, in some respects, about letting go and relaxing with the thought that you can trust yourself to be able to do something: “Okay, I’m not going to know many people at this party but I’m going to trust myself to relax, be spontaneous and agreeable… ” Trusting your unconscious to look out for you (as well as, of course, consciously learning what you need to know too) imbues you with a great sense of general confidence. The Trust yourself download seeks to do just this.

All my best
